Cuando salió la PSP y su pantalla de 3,5 pulgadas y sus 480×272 de resolución me parecía lo mejor que había visto en mucho tiempo, ahora los tiempos cambiaron y Toshiba me saca un reproductor con 4,1 pulgadas y una resolución de 800×600 (algo más respetable) y su grosor es de tan solo 9,9 mm. aparte de eso tiene una pantalla táctil, viene con Windows Mobile 6.1 aunque con arreglos en la interfaz. Vendrá con un procesador Qualcom Snapdragon de 1GHz que es una potencia respetable.
Otra cosa nueva que la pantalla táctil actuará como un touchpad virtual para portátiles, el TG01 vendrá con HSDPA , A-GPS y soporte nativo de Flash, memoria de microSD y soportará DivX.
Otra cosa que incluirán es un sensor de movimiento que aunque aún no se sabe como funcionará dicen que será para controlar diversos gestos en aplicaciones o servicios del teléfono.
En resumen el teléfono traerá:
- Pantalla de 4,1 pulgadas
- Resolución de 800×600
- Pantalla táctil (será multitáctil?)
- Windows Movile 6.1
- Procesador Qualcom Snapdragon 1GHz.
- Grosor 9.9 mm.
- Memoria MicroSD
- HSDPA, A-GPS y Flash nativo
- Sensor de movimiento
Interesante teléfono que lo veremos en el Mobile World Center de Barcelona que empezará el 15 de Febrero.

The Toshiba TG01 is the first device in the world to run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon platform, which is powered by a 1GHz mobile CPU and hosts GSM, HSPDA, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS connectivity all on one chipset. The CPU has dynamic speed control and Toshiba and Qualcomm claim it’ll go for a whole day without recharging. TG01 have the huge display – a 4.1-inch large touchscreen display has a WVGA resolution (800 x 480 pixels) and it’s certainly the biggest one we’ve seen on a GSM mobile phone. The Toshiba TG01 also packs unprecedented size for its hardware capabilities – it’s only 9.9 millimeters thick. The device is obviously quite wide and tall but that’s mostly because of the display as there are hardly any hardware buttons to take up place – even the receiver keys have become part of the user interface present throughout the whole UI. The connectivity section of the Toshiba TG01 includes HSPA and Wi-Fi plus a GPS receiver with A-GPS functionality. The internal storage is “only” 512 MB but you get a microSDHC card slot with support for up to 32GB. The TG01 also comes with support for DivX video, and finally, the Toshiba TG01 makes use of a built-in 3.2 megapixel camera.
